Nina Hees is based in Reno, Nevada working from her home studio as a multimedia artist. With a diverse range of work from ceramic pendants and sculptures to printed textiles and abstract figures. Abstract creatures often playing with different forms commonly consumed or containing various collections of teeth, eyes and flora parts. With textiles often based around the use of up cycling clothing. Through the intersection of ceramics, textiles and recycled materials, she hopes to create joy, curiosity and at times discomfort. Often aiming to recreate the wonder and curiosity that many experience as children uninhabited from the woes of society.
